Women’s basketball team featured in Super Bowl intro

Professor advocates for Deaf rights in Trinidad and Tobago

Dr. Danielle Thompson, G-’01 & ’03, is the first Deaf person from Trinidad and Tobago to earn a PhD. Even while working as an Associate Professor at Gallaudet, she continues to support Deaf rights in her home country. Check out the article to learn more about Dr. Thompson’s work!

Men’s basketball player reaches 1,000 points as season wraps

The men’s basketball season is a wrap! Forward Blessed Mbogo scored a game-high 23 points and finished his last game with over 1,000 points for the Bison. A thrilling end to an amazing career at Gallaudet!

Gallaudet partners with NTID for research grant

Gallaudet and NTID are collaborating on an innovative research project to map the nuances of American Sign Language. The partnership recently received an EArly-concept Grant for Exploratory Research (EAGER) to study ASL prosody. Their research will be an invaluable resource to study sign language in the future.

Bison athletes collect academic honors

Dozens of Gallaudet student-athletes have been recognized for their achievements in the classroom. 27 Bison were placed on the 2024 United East Conference Fall All-Academic Team. In addition, the the Gallaudet women’s swimming team earned a Scholar All-America Team Award, and the Gallaudet Triathlon team earned CTCA Scholar All-American Team honors. Way to go!
