Dear Gallaudet and Clerc Center Employees,

We hope you’ve had a great week so far. It’s wonderful to see the campus full of life again with our students back! Before we head into the long weekend, we wanted to share a few updates with you.

Updates to Compensation Study
Since our last update on April 23, 2026, work on the compensation study has continued in partnership with CBIZ. CBIZ is now completing its analysis of faculty, teacher, and staff positions.

An update was recently provided to the Compensation Study Advisory Committee, and a presentation to the Executive Team is scheduled for later this month. We expect to share a further update with the Gallaudet and Clerc Center community in October.

Thank you for your continued patience and engagement as we complete this important work. Additional information about the study, including the process and timeline, is available on the Compensation Study webpage.

Staff Performance Reviews
We are pleased to share that 100% of performance reviews for eligible staff have been initiated in Workday! As an employee, if you have a task to complete the self-evaluation in Workday, please complete it promptly so your manager can complete their portion of the review process.

If you have questions about the performance review process or need assistance, please join the walk-in Zoom support session on the following dates and times:

  • Mondays and Wednesdays: 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. ET
  • Fridays: 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. ET

The support sessions have been extended to September 30, 2026. To minimize wait times and ensure we are available to assist you promptly, appointments are required and must be scheduled in advance. You may also contact Human Resources through ServiceNow if you have additional questions or need assistance.

Any performance reviews not completed by the deadline of September 30, 2026, will be canceled in Workday.

Annual Compliance Training due October 31
This is a friendly reminder to complete the Annual Compliance Training by October 31, 2026. All Gallaudet employees, including temporary employees, are required to complete the training by this deadline. Clerc Center employees are exempt from this requirement because they complete separate compliance training designed for the K–12 environment.

Employees who joined Gallaudet on or after August 1, 2026, will have 3 months from their hire date to complete the training. If you have any issues with accessing the training, please submit a case in ServiceNow.

Upcoming Workshop on FMLA and Reasonable Accommodation
FMLA and reasonable accommodation are common topics that employees often have questions about or would like to better understand. We are offering this workshop again to help ensure that all employees have access to consistent information and a better understanding of these important workplace resources. Attendees will learn about the differences between reasonable accommodation and FMLA, including when employees may consider applying for these options.

This workshop will be held through Zoom on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:20 p.m. If interested, you can register through the event on GallyHub.

Don't forget about your Bison Perk: Bank of America
You have special access to the Preferred Plus tier of BofA Rewards™ without the $30,000 balance requirement, thanks to Gallaudet's relationship with Bank of America. Through this program, you can enjoy many exclusive benefits and pricing discounts, all designed around the ways you save, spend, and borrow with Bank of America and invest with Merrill. Going forward, any Gallaudet employee who sets up part or all of their Direct Deposit with Bank of America will also be eligible for this benefit program. Please see the flyer for more information on how to sign up.

Enhanced Tuition Benefits Program
Regular status employees are eligible for tuition benefits through the Educational Assistance and Tuition Waiver programs. Currently, the policies limit full-time employees to up to two courses or six credits. We are pleased to share that the Executive Team has approved an increase to nine credits, effective January 2027. Updated policies reflecting this change will be shared within the next month.

Thank you to the Executive Team for supporting our employees’ continued growth and professional development.

Payment Election in Workday
In case you overlooked the recent announcement in Workday, employees are now required to enter their current bank account information before making changes to their direct deposit payment elections.

This additional security measure was implemented in response to ongoing attempts to compromise employees’ Okta accounts and is intended to provide an added layer of protection when changes are made to direct deposit information.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns for Human Resources, please submit a case in ServiceNow.

Have a fantastic long weekend!
